Each year, the National Newspaper Association recognizes the excellent effort made by community newspapers and press associations to engage young readers in the pursuit of actively learning the important role newspapers play in our community. This annual contest is open to all newspapers and press associations and entries reflect accomplishments from July of the previous year, through June of the present year. Entries are accepted during the contest entry period, which occurs annually from March 1 through July 1.
Winners are notified in August and invited to attend the award reception held in the fall during NNA's Annual Convention and Trade Show.
